Water is building a nationwide charging network based on a two-track strategy: 'Water Thru,' which connects major highway routes, and 'Water Belt,' which links urban and tourist hubs. The simultaneous opening of 10 locations in Jeju is part of the expansion of the 'Water Belt,' completing a dense network that connects residential and tourist areas throughout the island.
Yoo Daewon, Head of the EV Charging Business Division (Water) at Bright Energy Partners, said, "Jeju is a world-class eco-friendly model city where renewable energy and electric vehicles coexist. Water will continue to invest in infrastructure to expand our charging network, which began on highways, to major tourist and residential hubs like Jeju, so that EV drivers can enjoy a seamless charging experience anywhere in the country."
