Delegations from Five Countries Including China, Taiwan, Macau, Indonesia, and Vietnam to Participate
A festival for beauty professionals, where domestic and international experts gather to share the present and future of K-beauty, will be held in Daejeon.
The "2025 International Korea Beauty Festival" will take place from December 2 to 3 at the Exhibition Hall on the first floor of Exhibition Hall 2 at the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC).
This event, now in its third year, is organized by the Korea Beauty Society Central Association and officially sponsored by Daejeon City. It will feature a beauty competition, creative work presentations, and a beauty expo.
This year, the festival has established itself as Asia's premier beauty competition, with delegations from five countries-China, Taiwan, Macau, Indonesia, and Vietnam-along with more than 100 international contestants and about 1,000 beauty professionals and students from related departments across Korea, competing in 80 categories including volume wave perms.
In addition, there will be hair art and performances by the national team that achieved a record seven consecutive overall victories in the beauty category at Hairworld, organized by the Organisation mondiale coiffure (OMC) in Paris, France.
The exhibition booths, featuring participation from over 150 companies, will showcase not only hair-related products but also include a Nail Zone and Future Zone, presenting the latest products and technologies to offer visitors a rich and engaging experience.
Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, stated, "This event is a meaningful occasion where beauty talents from across the country and Asia come together. As the latest beauty technologies will be unveiled in Daejeon, I encourage interested citizens to attend."
He added, "The 2026 International Korea Beauty Festival will be held in conjunction with the OMC (Organisation mondiale coiffure) Asia Cup in March 2026. By developing it into Asia's top beauty competition, this will serve as a stepping stone for Daejeon to become a global hub city for K-beauty."
