The event was the main program on the second day, following the opening ceremony and investment attraction declaration held at the InterContinental Seoul Parnas on the 27th. It carried significant meaning as a practical follow-up step to connect the diplomatic assets of the Gyeongju APEC Summit to corporate and industrial investment.

The main event began with welcoming speeches from Yang Geumhee, Vice Governor for Economic Affairs of Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Joo Nakyoung, Mayor of Gyeongju.

Subsequently, Gyeongju City and Gyeongsangbuk-do signed a business agreement with the Korea Asia-Pacific Economic Association and the Korea-China MICE Association to attract MICE tourists.

They also agreed to establish a cooperative framework with the Korea Medical Tourism Promotion Association to expand medical tourism for foreign patients.

In the afternoon, the 'Bio Health Forum' was held, featuring a keynote speech and expert panel discussion on 'Anti-Aging and Stem Cell Innovation.' The subsequent 'MICE Industry Forum' offered in-depth discussions on global MICE industry strategies in response to the era of digital transformation.

During the 'Investment Conference' session, the industrial sites and competitiveness of major cities in Gyeongsangbuk-do, including Gyeongju, Pohang, and Chilgok, were introduced.

Gyeongju highlighted its future industry infrastructure and locational advantages through a promotional video, while Pohang and Chilgok presented their strengths in steel and materials industries, and logistics and manufacturing, respectively.

In the corporate presentations, Endive Co., Ltd., an energy storage company, and Ajin Industrial Co., Ltd., an automotive parts company, shared their technological capabilities and global expansion plans, suggesting potential for collaboration with overseas investors.

Joo Nakyoung, Mayor of Gyeongju, stated, "The success of APEC has become a turning point for Gyeongju to advance as a global city," adding, "With this event as a starting point, Gyeongju will further expand international cooperation in future industries such as AI, SMR, MICE, and e-mobility."

After the event, a 'Gyeongju Night Tour' was held, allowing participants to directly experience the historical and cultural attractions of Gyeongju by visiting major night sites such as Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, Cheomseongdae, and Woljeonggyo Bridge.

Gyeongju City plans to continuously strengthen the foundation for linking the international diplomatic assets formed after the APEC Summit to practical economic cooperation and future industry investment, in collaboration with Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.
