The Sahmyook University Alumni Association held its 41st regular general meeting on November 23 at the Jang Geuncheong Hall in the International Education Center of Sahmyook University, where Mr. O was nominated as the 20th president of the Alumni Association.

During his previous two-year term, President O expanded domestic and international alumni exchanges and broadened the foundation of the association's activities.

Last year, he co-hosted a concert commemorating the 118th anniversary of Sahmyook University and consecutively organized the 13th and 14th Alumni President's Cup Golf Tournaments.

In May of this year, he invited local alumni to a networking event at Industry Hills Golf Club in California, USA. Notably, a total of 100,000 dollars was raised as a development fund at this event.

He also strengthened communication by publishing the alumni newsletter twice, and the launch of the alumni association's mobile application, which is currently in progress, is nearing completion.

In his acceptance speech, President O stated, "On the occasion of the university's 120th anniversary next year, I will further strengthen the unity of the alumni association and, together with my alma mater, promote future-oriented initiatives."

He entered Sahmyook University as a business administration major in 1982 and, after joining his alma mater as a professor, has played a pivotal role in education and administration for 36 years.

Even after his retirement at the end of the second semester of the 2021 academic year, he continues to serve as director of the SW-centered University Project Group, CEO of the university-affiliated company SU-Edumi, and lead professor of the SU-MVP Executive Management Program.
