Through this agreement, the city, as an educational hub, will work together with Ajou University School of Law-the only law school in Gyeonggi Province-to establish a foundation for the continuous growth of local talents and secure various pathways for entry into the legal profession.

In particular, the agreement aims to build a practical system for nurturing legal professionals by supporting career exploration in the legal field and hosting admissions information sessions, providing scholarships to those admitted to Ajou University School of Law, and operating law-related educational programs.

Dean So Byungcheon stated, “I am pleased that, through cooperation between the local community and the university, students aspiring to become legal professionals can receive practical support and assistance. Taking this agreement as an opportunity, we plan to actively pursue educational cooperation with local governments throughout Gyeonggi Province.”

Mayor Kim Donggeun said, “This agreement will serve as a solid foundation for outstanding local talents to pursue and realize their dreams in Uijeongbu. We will continue to make efforts for the growth of our citizens and the development of the region through education.”

The city and Ajou University School of Law plan to further strengthen their cooperation, expand local education and career support, and continue providing practical support for nurturing future legal professionals.
