Dongducheon City Successfully Holds "Youth Drug Abuse Prevention Golden Bell" at Songnae Jungang Middle School

430 Students Participate

Dongducheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Hyungduk Park) held the "25th Youth Drug Abuse Prevention Campaign" at Songnae Jungang Middle School on the 25th to prevent drug misuse among teenagers and promote the development of correct values.

This campaign was organized by the Dongducheon Rotary Club and supported by Dongducheon City. It received a great response, with over 430 students from all grades at Songnae Jungang Middle School participating.

The "Drug Abuse Golden Bell" event featured questions tailored to teenagers, such as the dangers of drug misuse, proper medication guidance, and the harmful effects of smoking. The students actively participated, enhancing their understanding of drug abuse prevention.

Representatives from the Dongducheon Rotary Club and Dongducheon City Health Center stated, "Adolescence is a particularly vulnerable period for drug misuse. We hope this Golden Bell event will help students recognize the dangers themselves and develop healthy lifestyle habits." They added, "We will continue to carry out various educational and promotional activities to prevent drug misuse among teenagers in the future."
