On the 26th, the city announced that it held a presentation and awards ceremony for outstanding entries, sharing creative policy ideas submitted by university students from across the country.
This year's contest saw participation from 84 teams nationwide, recording the highest competition rate ever.
Changwon City selected a total of five winning teams through a document review and presentation evaluation conducted by a judging panel composed of internal departments and private sector experts.
The grand prize went to the "Perlgia" team, which proposed an evaluation of improved accessibility for candidate hospitals transitioning to Moonlight Children's Hospitals. The team's data analysis approach to addressing the local issue of gaps in pediatric care during nights and holidays received high marks.
The excellence awards were given to two teams: "Minjokdaeidong," which proposed "Changwon Mobility Vision 2025: Nubigo Mobility Innovation," and "Magnetic," which analyzed the competitiveness of Changwon's youth policies by clustering cities nationwide.
The encouragement awards went to the "DaeSyn" team, which suggested a civil complaint response support system using synthetic data-based sLLM fine-tuning, and the "KU Data Hunters" team, which presented "Ondayak," a mobile public pharmacy platform aimed at improving access to medicines for vulnerable health groups.
Changwon City plans to review the feasibility of applying the ideas discovered in this contest to related departments and actively utilize them in projects aimed at alleviating citizen inconvenience and improving administrative efficiency.
Kim Jongpil, Director of Planning and Coordination, stated, "Through this contest, we not only discovered excellent ideas for data utilization, but also gained an opportunity to examine citizens' inconveniences from the students' perspectives. We will continue to do our best to strengthen Changwon City's data administration capabilities, including the opening of public data and the advancement of data utilization infrastructure."
