Dongjin Semichem Photoresist Newly Selected as World-Class Product

Dongjin Semichem announced on November 27 that its 'fluorinated krypton (248nm) photoresist (KrF Thick PR) for V-NAND flash' has been newly selected as a 2025 World-Class Product by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KOTRA.

The World-Class Product designation is granted to products that meet requirements such as ranking within the top five in global market share with at least a 5% share, and either a global market size of at least 50 million dollars with a domestic market twice as large, or annual exports exceeding 5 million dollars.

Dongjin Semichem's photoresist achieved export sales of 185.9 million dollars over the past three years (2022-2024), earning its place as a newly designated World-Class Product. The company has been recognized for its global market share and national achievements.

V-NAND is a next-generation flash memory technology that maximizes storage capacity by stacking cells vertically. A thick photoresist (Thick PR) is essential for maintaining stable performance even during the high-difficulty etching process, which is a key step in forming circuit patterns.

Dongjin Semichem's photoresist (KrF Thick PR) is optimized for these V-NAND processes, offering both outstanding resolution and etch resistance compared to conventional photoresists. It also enables stable pattern formation in high-layer-count V-NAND devices.

Dongjin Semichem was the first company in Korea to develop photoresist, leading the localization of semiconductor materials and accumulating unique technological expertise.
