Plus M and Waterhole Company to Release Three A24 Films in Korea

On November 27, distributor Plus M Entertainment announced that, together with Waterhole Company, it will introduce three major titles from American studio A24’s lineup to Korean audiences next year.

The films to be imported and distributed by the two companies are the romantic comedy "Eternal," starring Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller, and Callum Turner; the black comedy "The Drama," featuring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson; and the musical film "Mother Mary," starring Anne Hathaway.

"Eternal" is the latest work by director David Freyne. The story follows Joanne, who, upon arriving in the afterlife, must choose a partner to be with forever. The film is a romantic comedy that explores the emotional turmoil she experiences as she wavers between a man she lived with for 65 years and another who has waited for her for 67 years.

"The Drama" is a black comedy directed by Christopher Borgli, depicting the conflicts that arise when a couple on the verge of marriage uncovers secrets about each other that they would have preferred not to know.

"Mother Mary" is directed by David Lowery, known for "The Green Knight," and promises a unique blend of music and drama.

Joo Hyun, CEO of Waterhole Company, introduced the A24 titles by saying, "A24's works are always unique and filled with the new attempts and images that the current market demands." Kim Yujin, Head of Content at Plus M Entertainment, commented, "We are delighted to be able to consecutively introduce A24's works to the domestic audience."

The three films will be released sequentially, starting with "Eternal" in January next year, followed by "The Drama" and "Mother Mary."
