Do You Know About Smart Ports?... Busan Port Authority Showcases Busan Port Innovations at Singapore's "TOC Asia 2025"

Introducing Busan Port’s Competitiveness and Technology Ecosystem to the Global Port and Terminal Industry
Joint Exhibition of Outstanding Achievements by Four BPA-Supported Startups and Two Collaboration Partners

Busan Port Authority (BPA), led by President Song Sanggeun, has traveled to Singapore to go all-in on promoting smart port innovation technologies and startup achievements, aiming to enhance the competitiveness of Busan Port.

BPA announced that it participated in "TOC Asia 2025," held over two days from November 25 to 26 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.

This project showcases the achievements of smart port operations at Busan Port, as well as new logistics technologies developed by six companies supported and collaborating with BPA.

TOC Asia is a leading Asian exhibition specializing in ports and terminals, attracting more than 2,000 participants, including global terminal operators, port equipment companies, logistics and shipping IT firms, and startups. At this year’s event, about 100 companies are operating booths to present the latest port technologies.

At the exhibition, Busan Port Authority is introducing Busan Port’s digital transformation strategy, the current status of automation technology adoption, and the direction of its smart port initiatives. The authority also intends to leverage insights into global technology trends in the port and logistics sector to develop future strategies for enhancing Busan Port’s competitiveness.

BPA has set up a joint promotional exhibition hall at the TOC Asia venue, where it is presenting the achievements of its collaboration partners, such as Syscon’s "Autonomous Port Transshipment Cargo Transport System" and Enkia’s "Real-Time Port Crane Wire Rope Diagnosis System," both examples of successful technology cooperation with BPA.

In addition, four resident companies from BPA’s startup support platform "1876Busan" are participating to showcase technologies ready for on-site application.

These include SeoanSNC’s "Container Alignment Monitoring," Dplus’s "Robotic Solutions for Automated Cargo Handling Equipment," Piscesoft’s "Digital Twin-Based Terminal Operation Management System," and Underwater Solution’s "Underwater Robot and ROV Technology." These companies are seeking opportunities for international collaboration and commercialization on the global stage.

Alongside the exhibition, Busan Port Authority is also visiting PIER71, Singapore’s leading port technology incubator, to engage in technology exchange with local tech startups. Through this, BPA plans to analyze global smart port technology trends, benchmark startup support models, and discuss possibilities for future cooperation.

Song Sanggeun, President of BPA, stated, "TOC Asia is an international event where global port and logistics stakeholders gather. We will thoroughly analyze global port technology trends and actively apply them to Busan Port’s automation and digitalization policies."

He added, "BPA will serve as a strong supporter to help introduce the innovative technologies of startups to the world and expand exchanges with overseas markets."
