with Smart Services
On November 25, Sacheon City in South Gyeongsang Province announced that it had completed the "Community-Based Urban Regeneration Smart Technology Support Project," which was selected as a 2024 Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport contest project in connection with the "Samcheonpo Port Urban Regeneration Project," and that the system would be fully operational in December.
This project established various facilities based on smart technology to provide convenience for residents and prevent safety accidents.

To provide real-time information on parking spaces at four public parking lots within the Samcheonpo Port Urban Regeneration Project area, two electronic display boards were installed. In addition, a safety system with 22 devices was set up at eight locations along a 1.71-kilometer coastal walkway, and 21 data collection sensors were installed to prepare for emergencies such as pedestrian safety accidents and disasters along the coastline.
Sacheon City stated, "Although the project area around Samcheonpo Port is adjacent to Yonggung Fish Market and the traditional fish market, attracting many tourists and residents, the lack of parking information has caused inconvenience in using public parking lots, and there have been risks of accidents along the coastal walkway. However, through this urban regeneration smart technology support project, we expect to greatly alleviate visitor inconvenience and significantly contribute to the prevention of safety accidents."
