On the 23rd (local time), Vietnamese media outlet Vietbao reported, "A man was found dead inside a bag near a luxury apartment in Ho Chi Minh City this afternoon."

According to the report, the man was discovered deceased inside a large blue bag.

Security guards and passersby in the area reported a strange odor coming from the bag to the local police. It was reported that two men who were near the bag fled the scene by taxi as a crowd began to gather.

The local police cordoned off the first-floor lobby of the apartment building and conducted a forensic investigation at the scene. After recovering the body and confirming the identity, authorities revealed that the deceased was a Korean national.

The local police have detained two Koreans suspected of involvement in the incident and are currently questioning them.

Based on the fact that the body of the deceased Korean man was already somewhat decomposed, the police are working to determine the time and cause of death.

An official from the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City told Yonhap News Agency, "We have been notified by the local police that the deceased is a Korean national," adding, "We plan to contact the deceased's family and provide consular assistance."
