Democratic Party up 0.8 percentage points,
People Power Party up 0.6 percentage points
President Lee Jaemyung's approval rating for his administration's performance rose to 55.9%, up 1.4 percentage points from the previous week.
According to a Realmeter survey commissioned by Energy Economy News and conducted from November 17 to 21, 2025, among 2,523 respondents aged 18 and older nationwide via wireless automated response (ARS), 55.9% gave a positive assessment of President Lee's performance.
President Lee's approval rating had declined for the first time in three weeks in the previous survey but has now rebounded. The percentage of respondents with a negative assessment was 40.5%, down 0.7 percentage points from the previous week.
Realmeter analyzed that the increase in approval was influenced by achievements in economic diplomacy, such as the signing of memorandums of understanding (MOUs) worth 150 trillion won during President Lee's tour of the Middle East and Africa. In contrast, the decline in support was attributed to domestic economic instability, including the KOSPI index falling below the 3,900 mark and a sharp rise in the won-dollar exchange rate.
In the party support survey, the Democratic Party of Korea recorded 47.5%, and the People Power Party 34.8%. Compared to the previous week, the Democratic Party's support increased by 0.8 percentage points, and the People Power Party's by 0.6 percentage points. The Reform Party received 3.8%, the Cho Kuk Innovation Party 2.9%, and the Progressive Party 1.1%.
