"Jungnang Donghaeng Sarang Net" is the nation's first resident-linked welfare platform, where 400,000 residents help one another. Since its launch in January 2025, participation has increased 3.7 times, with a total of 14,134 participants. The platform encourages resident involvement in five areas: donations, network building, talent sharing, health, and education. This year, 347 projects were registered, a 91.7% increase compared to the previous year. There were 10,389 new applications, and 9,180 cases led to actual support, resulting in a high connection rate of 89%.
The platform has also seen a significant increase in usage, with a cumulative total of 51,128 visitors. A recent survey showed high resident satisfaction: 91.7% awareness, 80.4% convenience of use, 76.5% perceived actual benefit, 87.3% trust in sharing and donations, and 89.7% contribution to welfare development.
The platform's excellence has been recognized through various awards, including the Grand Prize in the Social Capital category at the "2025 National Basic Local Government Heads Manifesto Best Practices Competition," selection as the top district in the Autonomous District category at the "2025 Second Half Active Administration Best Practices Contest," and the Grand Prize at the "2025 Excellent Local Government Policy Competition."
Ryu Kyunggi, Mayor of Jungnang District, stated, "The participation of over 14,000 people is the result of solidarity created by the residents themselves. We will continue to develop Jungnang Donghaeng Sarang Net as a sustainable regional welfare platform and work to further spread the culture of mutual care in everyday life."
