Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) will host the '2025 Busan Mia Art Festival' at the Busan Port International Exhibition and Convention Center for two days from November 24 to 25.

The 'Busan Mia Art Festival' is an event designed to share skills and information among beauty professionals and to discover outstanding talent, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the beauty industry. The beauty skills competition will feature contests in the hair, skin, and nail categories, where beauty professionals will compete to demonstrate their skills. The competition is organized by the Busan Branch of the Korea Beauty Association, the Busan Branch of the Korea Skin Beauty Association, and the Busan Branch of the Korea Nail Beauty Association. There will also be a 'University Student Capstone Competition' for beauty major students.

Citizen participation programs will include personal color diagnosis, AI scalp analysis, and makeup experience sessions. Interactive events such as a talk show with a renowned beauty expert, the Beauty Golden Bell quiz, the Persona Mask Contest, and career counseling for beauty college students will also be held.

During the talk show, Kim Soyeon, CEO of MUP_SY, will introduce self-makeup techniques and products under three themes: wedding, party, and hanbok, while engaging with the audience. The Beauty Golden Bell quiz will cover topics related to K-beauty, hair, nails, and skincare, allowing participants to naturally learn beauty-related knowledge. In the Persona Mask Contest, participants will decorate their own masks and present their stories, with outstanding works selected for recognition.

The city expects this event to serve both as a stage for beauty professionals to showcase their abilities and as an occasion for citizens to enjoy together.

Jo Gyuyul, Director of Citizen Health at Busan Metropolitan City, stated, "We hope this event will discover outstanding beauty talent and enhance Busan's competitiveness in the beauty industry," adding, "The city will continue to work to strengthen competitiveness in the beauty sector and promote the development of the local beauty industry."
