Hanam City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyunjae) announced on the 21st that it held the 'Hanam City Excellent Companies Meeting' in the city hall situation room, inviting outstanding local companies leading the regional industry and officials from related organizations.

The purpose of the meeting was to share practical business support policies being promoted by the city and related organizations, and to directly hear about the challenges experienced on the ground. The city aims to reflect the needs of companies in municipal administration to revitalize the local economy.
The event was attended by Lee Hyunjae, Mayor of Hanam City, as well as officials from the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Gyeonggi Institute of Science & Technology Promotion, Gyeonggi Technopark, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, and other related organizations. More than 10 outstanding local companies, including newly attracted companies, women-led businesses, and startups, also participated.
During the meeting, the city introduced its main support policies to strengthen corporate competitiveness and focused on listening to the difficulties and suggestions directly from the business community.
The city first explained how it supports companies in securing stable operating funds through SME development fund support. In addition, it provided a comprehensive overview of various financial support policies aimed at reducing financial burdens, such as interest difference subsidies and special guarantee support.

The city also explained that it supports participation in domestic and overseas exhibitions by covering basic booth rental fees, installation costs, and promotional material production, as well as providing opportunities for local buyer consultations and market research through overseas market development delegations.
In addition, the city presented a wide range of projects to help expand sales channels and enhance competitiveness, including emergency intellectual property support, customized support for development, production, and sales, as well as product design and marketing support.
Furthermore, the city introduced investment attraction subsidies for companies that are newly established, relocating, or expanding within the city to help them secure a foundation for growth. It also presented support measures for technology development and work environment improvement, such as technology doctor support, smart factory establishment and consulting, and small-scale business environment improvement projects.
During the subsequent Q&A and suggestion session, businesspeople candidly discussed the challenges they face on site. They proposed improvements such as eliminating unreasonable regulations, expanding support for securing excellent talent, and enhancing industrial infrastructure including transportation and logistics.

Mayor Lee responded to these suggestions by stating, "The sustainable growth of Hanam City depends on our companies," and added, "The opinions expressed today will be closely reviewed with relevant departments and organizations to develop practical improvement measures and actively reflect them in municipal administration."
He continued, "Based on the difficulties identified through this meeting, we will boldly address factors that hinder corporate growth and focus administrative efforts on making Hanam a business-friendly city."
