Outstanding Service at Reasonable Prices
Active Support Including Special Banner Production and Promotion
Jeju Special Self-Governing Province selected 15 businesses as the "2025 Best Good Price Establishments" for the first time in the province and held a certificate award ceremony on November 21.
The Good Price Establishment program designates individual service businesses that maintain reasonable prices despite rising costs of ingredients and labor. Eligible businesses include restaurants, beauty salons, and laundries.
Currently, 385 such establishments are operating in the province, and on-site evaluations are being conducted for 142 new applicants in the second half of this year.
The Best Good Price Establishment program, introduced for the first time this year, selects outstanding businesses from among the existing Good Price Establishments. A monitoring team recommended 33 businesses with excellent pricing, hygiene, and service, and after an on-site evaluation by the review panel, 15 were ultimately selected.
Twelve businesses in Jeju City and three in Seogwipo City were chosen. By business type, there are 10 restaurants, 3 laundries, 1 beauty salon, and 1 sports service establishment.
During the award ceremony, certificates and designated gifts were presented to the selected businesses.
In November, special story-style banners highlighting each business's unique features will be produced and distributed, and there will be intensive promotion through the official Good Price Establishment social media channels.
This year, Jeju Province has significantly expanded support for Good Price Establishments.
Continuing from last year, the province is providing benefits such as a reduction in water utility fees (equivalent to 80,550 won per month), up to 1 million won per year in electricity and gas bill support (500,000 won each for the first and second half of the year), and customized item support (worth 250,000 won per business).
This year, new benefits include the production of special banners and additional gifts for the Best Good Price Establishments, as well as promotional activities in collaboration with the provincial citizen reporter group.
Promotional efforts to encourage the use of Good Price Establishments are also being strengthened. Information on prices and locations is frequently provided through social media channels such as blogs and Instagram, and quarterly customer review events are being held.
Jin Myeonggi, Vice Governor for Administrative Affairs of Jeju Province, stated, "Good Price Establishments contribute to price stability in the province and enhance the image of Jeju by providing services at reasonable prices," adding, "We will continue to strengthen support measures for these businesses going forward."
