Eight Specialized Courses Including Dubbing and Generative AI
1,148 Participants Join to Strengthen Global Production Capabilities
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 21st that they have recently concluded the Production Academy training program conducted in collaboration with Netflix.
This program was designed to strengthen global online video service production capabilities. Netflix employees and external experts participated as speakers and shared the latest technology trends required in the global production environment.
The academy operated eight courses. In June, the K-Content Global Dubbing Training Course and an Innovation Workshop covering next-generation technologies such as cloud-based media management systems and generative artificial intelligence (AI) were held. In July, a Production Sound Workshop was conducted, focusing on solutions for wireless signal noise and simultaneous recording.
In September, a Visual Effects (VFX) and Virtual Production Workshop covered pre-production based on virtual production and the use of 3D ICVFX, while a Planning Camp addressed the OTT series planning process, and a Planning and Directing Workshop shared know-how on OTT series production, collaboration, and directing.
Last month, a Global Subtitles Localization Workshop was held, covering global content strategy and subtitle production processes. This month, an ACES color management training session was conducted, aiming to improve the quality of visual effects production environments for entertainment and variety shows.
The Korea Creative Content Agency supported networking opportunities for trainees, bringing together trainees from various roles and Netflix experts to share insights.
A total of 1,148 industry professionals participated in the training. Among them, those selected through the internship pre-school program completed a four-month internship at Netflix production sites.
Jeon Wooyoung, Acting Head of the Content-Based Division at the Korea Creative Content Agency, said, "This has become a practical pathway to directly learn international production standards and the latest technologies," adding, "We hope it will serve as an opportunity to enhance both the quality and efficiency of content production."
