Director Park Chan-wook's "No Other Choice" swept six awards at the Blue Dragon Film Awards. At the ceremony held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 19th, the film took home the Grand Prize for Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, and three other categories.

Park Chan-wook, who is currently attending a retrospective in Los Angeles, had his acceptance speech read by Lee Sungmin on his behalf. He said, "This is the realization of a dream I have had since reading the original novel 20 years ago," and added, "I am happy to have been able to turn this story into a Korean film." He continued, "I wanted to create a film that seems simple and comic at first, but feels increasingly complex and tragic with each viewing."

This marks Park Chan-wook's fourth Best Director award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, following his wins for "JSA" in 2000, "Oldboy" in 2003, and "Decision to Leave" in 2022.

The married couple Son Yejin and Hyun Bin won Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively. This is the first time in the history of the Blue Dragon Film Awards that a married couple has won both leading actor awards together.

Son Yejin, who played Miri, the wife of an unemployed man in "No Other Choice," received her second Best Actress award after winning her first for "My Wife Got Married" in 2008. She said, "I first received the Blue Dragon Best Actress award when I was 27, and I am grateful to receive it again after more than ten years."

The Best Actor award went to Hyun Bin, who portrayed An Jung-geun in "Harbin." He said, "I am able to stand here thanks to those who dedicated themselves to protecting our country," and added, "I want to express my gratitude to them first."

The couple also expressed their affection for each other in their acceptance speeches. Hyun Bin said, "To my wife Yejin, who gives me strength just by being there, and to our son, I love you so much." Son Yejin responded, "I want to share the joy of this award with the two men I love, Kim Taepyung and our baby Kim Woojin."

Lee Sungmin, who played Koo Beommo, the protagonist's rival in the job market in "No Other Choice," won Best Supporting Actor. The Best Supporting Actress award went to Park Jihyun for "Hidden Face," Best New Actor to Ahn Bohyun for "The Devil Has Moved In," and Best New Actress to Kim Doyeon for "Amoeba Girls and School Ghost Stories: School Anniversary," respectively.
