Legal Action Taken After Poster Reasserts "The Evidence Is Real"
Actor Lee Eekyung's side has announced a strong response against those spreading rumors about his private life.
On November 19, his agency, Sangyoung ENT, stated, "The damage caused by these malicious acts is severe," and added, "We will continue to respond firmly without any leniency." This statement was released immediately after the author who posted the expos? insisted once again that all the evidence was real.
The agency said, "After becoming aware of the incident on the 3rd, we promptly filed a complaint and the complainant's statement has been completed. The identity of the accused has been secured, but it will take time until the investigation is concluded."
Recently, Lee Eekyung became embroiled in rumors about his private life circulating online and filed a lawsuit against the poster for threats and defamation. The poster initially apologized, claiming to have used artificial intelligence (AI) photos, but later reversed their statement, denying the use of AI.
After the controversy arose, Lee Eekyung withdrew from MBC's "Hangout with Yoo" and from KBS's "The Return of Superman," which he was scheduled to join.
