According to the county on the 19th, this drill was hosted by North Jeolla Province and jointly organized by Imsil County and the Korea Forest Fire Prevention Technology Association. It was designed to strengthen response capabilities against large-scale wildfire disasters caused by climate change and dry autumn weather conditions, as well as to establish a cooperative system among local wildfire-related agencies through joint training.

More than 200 participants, including officials from North Jeolla Province, the Western Regional Forest Service, Iksan Forest Aviation Management Office, Imsil Fire Station, police, military units, Imsil County, Jinan County, and members of the professional wildfire prevention and suppression teams, took part in the drill. The exercise simulated an actual wildfire situation and involved practical, integrated training covering the entire process of command, control, and suppression.

The main components of the drill included: ▲ operation of an integrated on-site wildfire command center ▲ evacuation of residents and protection of key facilities ▲ aerial suppression training with wildfire helicopters ▲ mobilization of wildfire suppression personnel and equipment, among others.

After a wildfire report was received, the simulation involved rapid dissemination of the situation using the wildfire situation monitoring system, deployment of personnel and equipment, establishment of an integrated on-site command center, situation assessment meetings, and joint ground and aerial suppression operations, creating a realistic training environment.

County Governor Sim Min stated, "It is more important than ever to establish an early response and a cooperative system with relevant agencies to protect the lives and property of residents from ultra-fast and large-scale wildfires." He added, "Through this drill, each agency was able to organically cooperate and strengthen their suppression capabilities to respond quickly and accurately to wildfire disasters."
