Ghost Studio's Debut Production "You Killed Her" Enjoys Box Office Success

Ghost Studio's debut production, "You Killed Her," has captivated audiences worldwide.

Quoting data from Netflix Tudum, Ghost Studio announced on November 19 that the Netflix series "You Killed Her" recorded 7.8 million viewing hours in its second week after release (November 10-16). The series climbed to 8th place in the Non-English TV category just three days after its release and has continued its strong performance since then.

Furthermore, according to Good Data Corporation's Fundex, the series ranked first in TV and OTT integrated drama buzz for the second week of November, reaching the top spot within just two weeks of its release. Actresses Lee Yumi and Jeon Soni also ranked second and third, respectively, in the TV and OTT integrated drama cast category, demonstrating the show's high level of public interest.

"You Killed Her," which has captivated viewers around the globe, is a Netflix series that tells the story of two women who, faced with a reality where they must either kill or be killed to escape, become entangled in unexpected events after deciding to commit murder. The series is based on the novel "Naomi to Kanako" by Japanese author Hideo Okuda.

The outstanding performances of cast members Jeon Soni, Lee Yumi, Jang Seungjo, and Lee Musaeng created a powerful synergy, fully conveying the message the series aims to deliver. Throughout the show, the desperate solidarity between Eunsu and Heesu is portrayed convincingly, drawing viewers' empathy and support.

A representative from Ghost Studio stated, "'You Killed Her' is not simply a story about punishing perpetrators and saving victims. While there are perpetrators and victims, we also want to address the many bystanders who turned a blind eye, emphasizing that silence is not the answer."

The representative added, "The message is that ignoring these issues does not make them disappear; ultimately, their stories could become ours or those of our families, and we must remember and not forget this."

With the passionate performances of its cast and stylish direction, "You Killed Her" marks a successful first step for Ghost Studio into the overseas market. As the company continues to establish itself as a production studio specializing in genre works, anticipation is growing for its next project.

"You Killed Her," produced by Ghost Studio, is available on Netflix.
