Graduate School of Storytelling Students and Faculty, Including Jeon Won and Son Hyona, Participate
The team led by Professor Kim Chiyong from the Department of Game Engineering at Dong-Eui University (Director of External Cooperation) has won the Excellent Paper Award from the Korean Society of Multimedia.
Professor Kim's team received the award at the "2025 Fall Academic Conference and General Assembly of the Korean Society of Multimedia" (President: Kim Byungkyu, Professor at Sookmyung Women's University, Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering), which was held at the College of Design, Pusan National University, from November 13 to November 15.
At this academic conference, approximately 260 papers were presented under the theme "AI Interacting with Reality: A New Horizon for Multimedia." Papers presented by Jeon Won, a doctoral student in the Graduate School of Storytelling at Dong-Eui University, and Son Hyona, a master's student in the same department, each received the Excellent Paper Award.
Professor Kim stated, "AI is already being utilized in many fields, and this academic conference featured special lectures on a variety of topics, including digital healthcare, applications of XR and generative AI, the latest technologies used in wearable devices, and the current status and outlook of quantum information technology."
He added, "I am pleased that every year, papers presented by students from the Graduate School of Storytelling at Dong-Eui University are awarded the Excellent Paper Award."
