Official Launch on November 18
"Utilize Services Such as Coupons and Point Accumulation"
Naver Pay announced on November 18 that it has launched its offline integrated terminal, "N Pay Connect." The company aims to expand its dominance in the offline retail market and catch up with Toss, which entered the sector three years earlier.
Merchants that install Connect can conveniently use Naver Pay’s offline services, including Naver reviews, coupons, ordering, and point accumulation.
Previously, customers had to take a photo of their receipt after payment to write a review or search for the store on Naver to download coupons.
Now, services can be accessed directly at the merchant through Connect.
Consumers can log in to Naver and leave a keyword review by scanning the QR code displayed on the Connect screen after payment, without the need for receipt verification.
Merchants can install the Connect terminal without replacing their existing point-of-sale (POS) devices or purchasing a separate Connect-specific POS device. By integrating with their current systems, they can utilize all the features of Connect.
Naver Pay plans to offer customer relationship management (CRM) features that enable marketing to visitors, based on data collected from the use of Connect.
Lee Hyangcheol, Head of Naver Pay’s Payment Services, said, "Offline merchants can expand their connections with customers by utilizing Naver Search or Maps through Connect. We will continue to enhance the features of Connect so that more merchants can secure loyal customers and provide stable services."
