iMarket Korea Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for Gradiant Technology Park in the U.S.

B2B industrial materials distributor iMarket Korea announced on the 18th that it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the advanced industrial complex "Gradiant Technology Park" in the United States, together with its U.S. subsidiary, iMarket America.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held on the 17th (local time) in Taylor, Texas, was attended by Gradiant Chairman Lee Kihyung, iMarket Korea CEO Kim Hakjae, Williamson County Judge Stephen Snell, Texas State Representative Caroline Harris Davila, Taylor Mayor Dwayne Ariola, and Texas Economic Development Deputy Director Terry Zrubek, among others.

The "Gradiant Technology Park," which is being developed through collaboration between iMarket Korea, iMarket America, and the City of Taylor, is a large-scale technology industrial complex designed to support domestic and international advanced industry companies such as those in semiconductors, electric vehicles, and secondary batteries seeking to enter Austin, Texas.

iMarket Korea is developing approximately 90,000 pyeong (about 297,500 square meters) as the first phase of the total 260,000 pyeong (about 858,000 square meters) industrial complex. The logistics center and rental office building within this zone are scheduled for completion by the end of next year. The company aims to finish all construction for the first phase by 2027, with the second phase targeted for completion in 2029 and the third phase in 2031.

Alongside the development of the industrial complex, the company plans to strengthen support for Korean companies entering the U.S. market by providing a one-stop service covering everything from procurement to global forwarding, warehouse operations, and local logistics.

The event featured congratulatory speeches and a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the groundbreaking, as well as a road-naming ceremony symbolizing the friendly cooperation between the parties. On site, County Judge Stephen Snell presented Chairman Lee Kihyung with a road sign bearing the name "Gradiant St." This sign will be installed in front of the main entrance to Gradiant Technology Park.

Gradiant Chairman Lee Kihyung stated, "Gradiant Technology Park is not just an industrial complex, but a platform for building the ecosystem of future industries," adding, "It will serve as an important foundation for Korean companies, Taylor, and Williamson County to grow together within a self-sustaining cycle." He continued, "By presenting a new model equipped with sustainable infrastructure and eco-friendly architecture, we will create the future together with Korean companies and the local community."

Williamson County Judge Stephen Snell remarked, "We have high expectations for the positive changes iMarket Korea will bring to Texas and Williamson County. We look forward not only to iMarket Korea's investment and innovation, but also to cooperation with Korean companies that will enter Texas in the future, and as County Judge, I will do my utmost to continue supporting them."
