BNK Investment & Securities (CEO Shin Myungho) has launched educational initiatives targeting financially vulnerable groups to prevent voice phishing.
On November 17, BNK Investment & Securities announced that it had signed a "Financial Education Partnership Agreement (MOU)" with the Busan Metropolitan City Disabled Welfare Center. The agreement was established through the joint efforts of both organizations to systematically and continuously promote financial consumer protection activities.
BNK Investment & Securities is conducting voice phishing prevention education for financially vulnerable groups.
BNK conducted customized financial education in collaboration with the center to prevent people with disabilities, who have limited access to financial information, from falling victim to increasingly sophisticated voice phishing schemes. In fact, voice phishing damage among financially vulnerable groups has become a serious social issue.
More than 50 people with disabilities and related stakeholders attended the education session, where they learned about the latest types of voice phishing and practical response methods based on real cases, as well as gained awareness of the risks of financial fraud.
Park Doohee, Chief Financial Consumer Protection Officer (Managing Director) at BNK Investment & Securities, emphasized, "We will continue to provide financial education and carry out financial fraud prevention activities so that various financially vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities, can use financial services with peace of mind."
