CJ ENM announced on November 18 that actor Chow Yun-fat and Yeonjun of Tomorrow X Together will appear on stage at the 2025 MAMA AWARDS, a major popular music awards ceremony.
Chow Yun-fat is scheduled to appear as a global award presenter at the main ceremony on the second day of the event, which will be held at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong on November 29. Previously, it was confirmed that actress Michelle Yeoh will attend as an award presenter on the first day, November 28.
Chow Yun-fat has been beloved for his unique charisma and human appeal through numerous works, including "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (2000), which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, and "A Better Tomorrow" (1987).
CJ ENM stated, "We expect the participation of Chow Yun-fat and Michelle Yeoh, both symbolic figures of Asian culture and beloved worldwide, to create a special connection that transcends the boundaries of K-pop and K-content genres."
Yeonjun of Tomorrow X Together will give the first-ever performance of "Talk to You" and "Coma." Recently, Yeonjun released his solo album after 6 years and 8 months since his debut, and ranked 10th on the Billboard 200, the main album chart in the United States. Last year, he also performed an opening theme stage accompanied by a robot dog.
This year, 27 presenters will take the stage, including Go Yoonjung, Noh Sanghyun, Noh Yunseo, Park Hyungsik, Shin Seunghun, Shin Yeeun, Shin Hyeonji, Arden Cho, Ahn Eunjin, Ahn Hyoseop, Lee Kwangsoo, Lee Dohyun, Lee Soohyuk, Lee Junyoung, Lee Junhyuk, Im Siwan, Jang Doyeon, Jeon Yeobin, Jo Seho, Jo Yuri, Jo Hangyeol, Ju Jihoon, Cha Jooyoung, Choi Daehun, and Hyeri.
The awards ceremony will be broadcast on Mnet Plus and other platforms.
