New Two-Year Dual MSc Degree Program Launched
First Cohort Begins in September Next Year
UK Study Dispatch Scheduled for 2027
Hoseo University’s Graduate School of Technology Management is launching an international joint degree program in partnership with Brunel University London, a public university in the United Kingdom, focusing on AI, Business Intelligence (BI), and digital marketing.
The university stated that this collaboration between a regional hub university and a top 300 global research university will accelerate the cultivation of global talent in technology management.
On November 18, Hoseo University announced that its Graduate School of Technology Management has signed an agreement with Brunel University London to operate a global joint degree program and will begin nurturing talent in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital marketing.
According to Hoseo University, Brunel University London ranked 342nd in the QS World University Rankings as of 2024 and is recognized for providing world-class education in AI, business intelligence, and digital marketing through its business school.
Through this agreement, the two universities will jointly operate a two-year Master of Science (MSc) dual degree program.
The specific majors include: ▲ MSc AI Strategy and ▲ MSc BI & Digital Marketing.
Hoseo University students will complete six months of foundational coursework, then receive one year of specialized education at Brunel University London, and subsequently return to conduct research and projects at Hoseo University. Upon completion of the entire program, students will earn master's degrees from both institutions. The first cohort will be selected in September next year, and students will be dispatched to the UK in January 2027.
Kang Junmo, Vice President for Global Affairs at Hoseo University, stated, "As a regional hub university, we aim to foster global talent in advanced strategic industries to enhance national competitiveness." Professor Lee Hahbin of Brunel University London commented, "We will further expand our collaboration with Hoseo University, leveraging our strengths in data analytics and AI."
Kwon Youngil, Dean of Hoseo University’s Graduate School of Technology Management, said, "This joint degree agreement marks a new milestone in nurturing global technology management professionals demanded by the domestic industry," adding, "We will support students in expanding K-MOT (Korean-style Management of Technology) through overseas education experiences."
Meanwhile, in April, Hoseo University’s Graduate School of Technology Management was selected for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s 'Global Advanced Strategic Industry Technology Management Professional Training Project' and the 'Global Joint Degree Support Program,' and is working to cultivate global professionals needed in regional and advanced strategic industries.
