From a Small Orthopedic Clinic in 1985 to a Five-Hospital Medical Group
Reflecting on 40 Years of Growth and Declaring a Leap Toward Future-Oriented Smart Healthcare

Indang Medical Foundation Bumin Hospital Group held the "Bumin Hospital 40th Anniversary Ceremony" on November 14 at the Grand Ballroom of Signiel Hotel in Haeundae, Busan.

On this day, Bumin Hospital Group reflected on its achievements over the past 40 years and announced a new vision for the next 40 years of progress.

The ceremony was attended by Chairman Jung Heungtae, Jung Hoonjae, Director of Bumin Future Medical Research Institute, and other hospital officials, as well as Park Hyungjoon, Mayor of Busan, Heo Namsik, President of Silla University, Kim Seongsu, Mayor of Haeundae District, and over 400 key local figures, who gathered to celebrate the development of Bumin Hospital.

In his commemorative address, Chairman Jung Heungtae stated, "For the past 40 years, Bumin Hospital has established itself as a hospital that never sleeps, always standing by patients wherever and whenever needed," and emphasized, "For the next 40 years, we will leap forward as a future-oriented smart healthcare group and lay the foundation for a 'century-old hospital.'"

The "Bumin Hospital Group Vision 2030," unveiled at the ceremony, presented core strategies to realize a sustainable healthcare system and a patient-centered hospital structure. The five core values are patient priority, expertise, innovation, happiness, and social contribution. To achieve these, the five main strategies are: ▲ completing integrated medical care from prevention to treatment and rehabilitation ▲ enhancing medical quality based on AI and digital technology ▲ building a sustainable healthcare ecosystem ▲ expanding the global healthcare network ▲ and realizing shared value where members, patients, and partners grow together.

Jung Wonhye, Head of Strategic Planning at Bumin Hospital Group, emphasized, "Vision 2030 is not just a declaration, but a concrete action plan for Bumin Hospital Group to redefine the medical paradigm."

Bumin Hospital Group began in 1985 as "Jung Heungtae Orthopedic Clinic" in Seodong, Geumjeong-gu, Busan, and has grown under the philosophy of "competence and principles." After expanding to Buk-gu Bumin Hospital (now Busan Bumin Hospital) in 1995 and converting to a corporation in 2008, the group now operates five hospitals in Busan, Seoul, and other locations, as well as the Bumin Prestige Life Care Center in Magok, establishing a nationwide medical network.

Recently, the group opened the "Bumin Prestige Life Care Center" in Magok, Seoul, introducing an AI-based integrated health management system, and is preparing to open "Myeongji Bumin Hospital," a general hospital with 500 beds, in 2027. Marking its 40th anniversary, Bumin Hospital Group plans to accelerate its efforts to lead smart healthcare and digital medical innovation, providing future-oriented, patient-centered medical services.
