Seoul Shilla Hotel, operated by Hotel Shilla, announced on the 17th that it will launch five types of Holiday Special Cakes for the year-end season.
The Holiday Special Cakes will be released sequentially starting from the 24th and will be available for a limited period of about 40 days until December 31. In addition, customers can also enjoy around ten types of cakes that are available year-round.
First, the truffle cake "The Finest Luxury" is priced at 500,000 won. Due to the use of rare seasonal truffles, only up to three cakes are available per day.
This product requires up to seven days to complete, involving meticulous handcrafting processes such as ingredient preparation, aging, and filling creation. The top of the cake features a chocolate artwork decoration crafted by a chocolatier, and when the decoration is lifted, a chocolate shaped like a white truffle appears in the center of the cake. When the truffle-shaped chocolate is cut in half, you can enjoy pieces of fresh white truffle with a subtle aroma.
The price of The Finest Luxury surpasses last year's "The Taste of Luxury" cake, which was priced at 400,000 won. It is expected to set a new record as the most expensive hotel cake.
This year, the upgraded "The Joyful Shilla Bear" will also be introduced. The Joyful Shilla Bear allows you to enjoy six different flavors in a single cake, including cheesecake, rich milk and dark chocolate ganache, and raspberry anglaise cream. The cake features a design of the Shilla Bear holding a gift box.
This product requires at least 30 hours of production, as each of the six flavors is handcrafted and combined into one cake. Only up to seven cakes are available per day, and the price is 350,000 won.
Additionally, three more cakes will be released: the practical truffle cake "Noir Truffle Mini" (80,000 won), the original tree cake "White Holiday" (180,000 won), and the red velvet cake "Luminous Red" (165,000 won). The Noir Truffle Mini is a dessert designed for customers who want to enjoy truffle desserts at a reasonable price. The White Holiday is the original tree cake that represents Christmas at Seoul Shilla Hotel. Luminous Red, newly launched this year, is a red velvet cake with a winter knit pattern on its surface.
The Holiday Special Cakes "The Joyful Shilla Bear" and "Luminous Red" will be available starting from the 24th, while "The Finest Luxury," "White Holiday," and "Noir Truffle Mini" can be purchased from the 1st of next month. These cakes are available by advance reservation, which can be made from today through the dining reservation menu on the official Shilla Hotel website or by phone. Products may sell out early.
