Atom DST Wins First Cylinder Module Order After Exclusive Vendor Registration with Hanwha Engine: "Signal for Global Expansion"

On November 17, it was announced that DST, a subsidiary of the KOSDAQ-listed company Atom, has signed its first supply contract for the core component 'Cylinder Module' in line with Hanwha Engine's resumption of its medium-speed engine business. This contract is significant not only as a simple delivery agreement but also because DST has been officially recognized as a technology partner participating in Hanwha Engine's next-generation engine platform.

The cylinder module being supplied this time is a key structure that determines engine output and combustion efficiency. Based on its independently developed integrated module technology over several years, DST will supply a complete module that significantly reduces the existing assembly process while enhancing quality stability and maintenance efficiency. The industry has evaluated this as "supplying the heart of the engine body in the form of a finished product."

DST's emphasized 'module-based supply system' is a method of supplying core modules as finished products, moving away from the traditional supply of individual parts. As the trend of modularization is spreading throughout the shipbuilding and engine industries to improve production efficiency and quality, DST has achieved tangible results at the initial stage of this transition.

A company representative stated, "This contract signals that the modularization strategy we have been pursuing is now being realized in the market," adding, "The pace of growth will accelerate further as we expand the range of applicable models and diversify our client base in the future."

With this order, DST plans to strengthen its position as a specialized supplier of core modules for medium-speed engines. The company also aims to expand its lineup and increase supplies to global engine manufacturers going forward.
