Andar: "Unrelated to National Security Act Violation... Founder Couple Resigned in 2021"

Statement Released on the 16th
"Resigned in 2021 Due to Repeated Misconduct"

Andar: "Unrelated to National Security Act Violation... Founder Couple Resigned in 2021"

Athleisure brand Andar stated that it is "already unrelated to both Shin Aeryeon, the former CEO and founder, and her husband Oh Daehyeon," following Oh's sentencing to prison for violating the National Security Act. The company added, "We do not want Andar to be associated with this matter in any way."

On November 14, Andar released this statement under the name of CEO Gong Seonga.

Andar explained, "Due to Mr. Oh's repeated misconduct, we completed the resignation procedures for both former CEO Shin and Mr. Oh from all positions in 2021." The company continued, "Afterward, Ecomarketing acquired all company shares, transforming Andar into a completely new company under a professional management system." Regarding suspicions that the two still hold shares, Andar firmly denied the claims, stating, "This is completely untrue."

Andar emphasized, "If anyone distributes content that damages the brand's value, or uses and distributes brand-related materials such as the Andar logo, store images, or model photos without authorization, the company will respond strongly, including taking legal action."

Mr. Oh, who previously served as an inside director at Andar, was sentenced to prison on appeal and taken into custody on November 13, after being found guilty of providing money to a North Korean hacker group through prolonged contact.
