Jindo County in South Jeolla Province has launched violence prevention training for high-ranking public officials, taking practical steps to foster a healthy organizational culture.
On November 13, the county held violence prevention training focused on preventing sexual harassment and sexual violence, with Kim Heesu, Jindo County Governor, Kim Seonju, Deputy Governor, and department heads in attendance.
This training emphasized the responsibilities and roles of senior officials within the organization and aimed to help them understand the structural causes of violence in society. The session was led by Kim Hyangsun, an expert instructor from the Korea Center for Gender Equality Education Promotion, who addressed specific prevention and response measures based on real-life cases, the role of managers, and ways to improve communication within the organization.
Governor Kim stated, "Only when senior officials set an example can change be achieved throughout the organization," adding, "I will take the lead in creating a public service culture where respect and consideration are naturally embedded."
The county plans to continue expanding an equal and healthy organizational culture by regularly implementing training and awareness improvement programs in the future.
