Strengthening Future Business Cooperation
in Battery Materials, Carbon Fiber, and Interior Components
On November 13, Ho Hyun-sang, Vice Chairman of HS Hyosung, met with Ola Kallenius, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group, who visited the Maybach Brand Center Seoul in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to discuss future business cooperation strategies.

The meeting was attended by key executives from both companies, including Vice Chairman Ho, Noh Kisoo, Head of HS Hyosung R&D Center, Ahn Sunghoon, CEO of HS Hyosung, Noh Jaebong, CEO of HS Hyosung The Class, Jens Kunath, Head of Sales Passenger Cars at Mercedes-Benz Group AG, and Mathias Vaitl, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Korea.
Vice Chairman Ho engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening collaboration across the automotive materials value chain, including battery materials, carbon fiber, automotive interior materials, airbags, and tire cords, where HS Hyosung has global competitiveness. HS Hyosung has built long-standing strategic partnerships with global automakers, enhancing its capabilities as a supplier of core automotive materials. Through these talks, the company expects to further expand its areas of cooperation with Mercedes-Benz. In addition, together with CEO Kallenius and executives from both companies, they discussed the growth potential of Korea's luxury mobility market and the differentiated customer experience of the Maybach brand, exploring ways to further strengthen the partnership and develop personalized retail strategies for discerning Korean customers.
Vice Chairman Ho stated, "Based on our global competitiveness in core automotive materials such as battery materials, carbon fiber, automotive interior materials, airbags, and tire cords, HS Hyosung will contribute to Mercedes-Benz's future strategies and further strengthen our role as a strategic partner." The Maybach Brand Center Seoul, where the meeting took place, opened in July and serves as an iconic space embodying the philosophy and core values of Maybach, the top-tier brand of Mercedes-Benz. It is the world's first and only dedicated Maybach showroom and service center, offering a carefully curated brand experience. The center is also recognized as a milestone that demonstrates the brand's vision to deliver an immersive luxury experience unique to Maybach, through personalized retail experiences, private consultation services, and exclusive programs for prestige customers.
