WSI: EzMediBot Receives Patent Registration Decision for Uterine Elevator Robot in 19 European Countries

This registration decision pertains to the "uterine elevator," with the patent publication date scheduled for November 26. The company is simultaneously pursuing national patent registrations in a total of 19 countries, including 18 European Union member states such as Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, as well as the United Kingdom.

The company plans to complete final patent registrations in these countries during the first half of 2026. The U.S. patent application, which was filed concurrently with the European patent application, is also under review, and the registration result is expected to be announced within the first half of next year. Through these efforts, EzMediBot has established a foundation for securing intellectual property rights in major medical device markets, including Korea, Europe, and the United States.

The "U-BOT," developed by EzMediBot, is the world's first assistive robot for gynecological laparoscopic surgery that automates the uterine elevation process. The company is currently seeking product approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and after obtaining item approval in the first half of next year, it plans to pursue CE marking for Europe and FDA approval for the United States to enter the European and American markets.

A WSI representative stated, "By securing patents in 19 European countries, we have established a foothold for entry into the global market," adding, "Starting in the second half of 2026, we will actively pursue exports, focusing on the European and U.S. markets."

Meanwhile, EzMediBot plans to expand its medical robot portfolio beyond the U-BOT with the launch of the B-BOT for brain surgery and the E-BOT for skull base surgery in 2026, as well as the C-BOT for cardiovascular procedures in 2028.
