Park Jungha, a lawmaker from the People Power Party, criticized former party leader Kim Gi-hyeon for gifting a luxury clutch bag to First Lady Kim Gunhee, the spouse of President Yoon Sukyeol, calling it "shameful and devastating."

On November 11, during an appearance on MBC Radio's "Kim Jongbae's Focus," Park stated, "This is something that should never happen."

The special prosecutor team led by Min Junggi, which is investigating allegations related to Kim Gunhee, seized a Roger Vivier clutch bag from the home of former President Yoon Sukyeol and his wife on the 6th.

Regarding this, Kim Gi-hyeon issued a statement on the 8th, admitting, "After I was elected party leader in March 2023, my wife gave a clutch bag to Kim Gunhee as a gift." He explained, "As the spouse of the new ruling party leader, my wife gave the gift to the First Lady as a matter of social courtesy," adding, "Believing that smooth cooperation between the ruling party leader and the president is necessary, she included a simple note with a congratulatory message."

Park Jungha commented, "I don't know where things went wrong, but there are just too many issues related to Kim Gunhee," and added, "The fact that someone confirmed rumors about her liking brands like Roger Vivier and then gave her such a gift, along with saying 'thank you for helping with the party convention,' is itself something to be sorry and ashamed about before the public."

Regarding the atmosphere within the party, Park said, "People are not saying much," and continued, "Everyone feels uncomfortable about this matter, and the mood of not speaking out has lasted for a long time. Lawmakers have various thoughts, but they are not expressing them."

Kim Gunhee, the spouse of former President Yoon Sukyeol, wore luxury brand Roger Vivier shoes.

Meanwhile, Kim Gunhee has been seen wearing Roger Vivier products at several official events. On November 13, 2022, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, she wore Roger Vivier's 'Curved Buckle Pumps,' and in August this year, she was spotted wearing black Roger Vivier shoes when appearing before the special prosecutor. Shoes from this brand typically range from 1 million to 3 million won.
