About 4,000 Runners to Participate
Traffic Restrictions on Major Roads
Gochang County in North Jeolla Province will hold the "23rd Gochang Dolmen Marathon" on November 16 at Gochang Public Stadium and throughout the Gochang-eup area.
According to the county on November 11, the event will be hosted and organized by the Gochang County Sports Council and the Gochang County Track and Field Federation, with support from North Jeolla Province and Gochang County.
Gochang County will hold the "23rd Gochang Dolmen Marathon" on the 16th at Gochang Public Stadium and throughout Gochang-eup. Provided by Gochang County
The marathon categories include: ▲Half marathon (Public Stadium → Wolgok Underpass → Jugok Intersection → Dosan Village → Juklim Village → Dolmen Heritage Site) ▲10km (Public Stadium → Wolgok Underpass → Doldam Bridge) ▲5km (Public Stadium → Wolgok Underpass). A total of about 4,000 runners will participate in the event, running along the different courses.
On the day of the marathon, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., traffic will be restricted on major roads along the marathon course. Entry from the Public Stadium to Jugok Intersection, and from Jugok Intersection and Dolmen Intersection to Dosan and Juklim Villages, will be prohibited.
A Gochang County official stated, "As this year marks the 23rd Gochang Dolmen Marathon, we ask for your active cooperation with traffic control measures to ensure the event proceeds smoothly. We will do our utmost to elevate the status of the Gochang Dolmen Marathon and ensure that every participant completes the race safely without any injuries."
