Fire Extinguisher Usage, Emergency Treatment Methods, and Food Poisoning Prevention
On November 10, Wanju County in North Jeolla Province conducted the '2025 Rural Guesthouse Service and Safety Training' for approximately 140 rural guesthouse operators at the county's Culture and Arts Center.
According to the county, this training was organized to enhance service quality and strengthen safety management in rural guesthouses, and was hosted by the Jeonbuk branch of the Korea Rural Guesthouse Association.
This was the first time in six years that the mandatory legal training was held in person since the COVID-19 pandemic. The training focused on providing practical safety and service education so that guesthouse operators could fully understand and apply the service, hygiene, and fire safety standards stipulated in the Rural Development Act at their sites.
The main topics included fire facility safety management, fire extinguisher usage, emergency treatment methods, food poisoning prevention, guestroom cleaning and surrounding area management, and reservation services. In particular, the training placed special emphasis on emergency procedures such as CPR to prevent water-related accidents during the summer season.
County Governor Yoo Heetae stated, "We will continue to provide education, guidance, and inspections for rural guesthouses so that tourists visiting Wanju County can enjoy safe and pleasant services."
