Gwangyang City Childcare Foundation Holds "100+ Childcare Love Donation Relay" Sponsorship Ceremony

127 Participants Join, Raising 400 Million Won in Donation Relay

The Gwangyang City Childcare Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) held the "100+ Childcare Love Donation Relay Sponsorship Ceremony" on November 7 in the meeting room at Gwangyang City Hall, with over 20 participants including Gwangyang Mayor Jung Inhwa, Chairman Lee Kwangyong, and donors.


This event was organized to support the healthy and happy growth of infants and young children in Gwangyang City. Ten donors came together to deliver a total donation of 48 million won.

The donors and their contributions were as follows: DYI Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Kwangyong) donated 30 million won; Gwangyang Brewing Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Jonghyun) donated 100 CMS accounts (worth 7 million won for 2025 and 2026); Seogang Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Executive Director Song Jaewook) donated 3 million won; Sangji Electric Co., Ltd. (CEO Jung Jinsu) donated 2 million won; and Daejin Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Seokchan) donated 1 million won.


Although not present at the event, Cosone Co., Ltd. (CEO Shin Byunghyun), Poace Co., Ltd. (CEO Yang Yongho), DYI Co., Ltd. (Manager Lee Kangil), DYI Co., Ltd. (Deputy General Manager Lee Soyoung), and Geumseong Co., Ltd. (CEO Na Kyungho) each contributed 1 million won, further supporting the donation relay.


Kim Jonghyun, CEO of Gwangyang Brewing Co., Ltd., stated, "I believe the donation campaign by the Gwangyang City Childcare Foundation is a beautiful movement of sharing that creates an environment where children in our region can grow up happier. I will continue to participate in efforts to support childcare and welfare in our community."


Song Jaewook, Executive Director of Seogang Enterprise Co., Ltd., said, "It is an honor to join this meaningful journey that helps children in our region nurture their dreams and enables every family to be happy without the burden of childcare. As a company that has grown together with the community, we will continue to walk the path of sharing and mutual growth with the Gwangyang City Childcare Foundation for the bright future of our children."


Gwangyang Mayor Jung Inhwa remarked, "The 100+ Childcare Love Donation Relay has been meaningfully concluded with the warm participation of 127 people. The heartfelt contributions of each citizen have become the foundation for our children to grow up happier and healthier."


He added, "This donation relay went beyond simple sponsorship; it was a beautiful journey reflecting the hearts of citizens working together to make Gwangyang a great city for raising children. Your valuable sharing will become a strong support for childcare in Gwangyang City and grow into hope for our children."


Chairman Lee Kwangyong commented, "I believe this donation relay has well demonstrated Gwangyang City's unique childcare philosophy that 'children born in Gwangyang are raised by all Gwangyang citizens together.' This relay was not just a fundraising effort, but the starting point of hope for creating an environment where every child in Gwangyang can grow up happily. With your warm sharing as our foundation, the Foundation will continue to do its best to make Gwangyang a city where both children and parents are happy and where childcare is a source of pride. Once again, I express my deepest gratitude."


Meanwhile, the "100+ Childcare Love Donation Relay" was conducted from May with voluntary participation from over 100 people, ultimately concluding with a total of 127 participants. The cumulative amount raised reached 406.4 million won, exceeding the original target of 100 million won by more than four times.
