Hands-on Experience with Generative AI Technologies

KT and the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education announced on November 9 that they conducted hands-on artificial intelligence (AI) education using the 'KT AI Station' at six middle schools in Yeoncheon, Yeoju, and Anseong from October 27 to November 7.
The KT AI Station is a mobile AI experiential learning space, consisting of a K-Intelligence and ESG experience center.
A total of 450 students and faculty members from six middle schools under the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education participated in this program. They experienced content utilizing KT's latest AI technologies, such as voice recognition, video synthesis, and generative AI, through platforms like 'AI Stadium' and 'AI Studio.' The program also included education on digital ethics and information discernment, covering topics such as deepfakes and fake news.
Additionally, KT and the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education shared the outcomes of the program at Yangseong Middle School in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, and exchanged ideas on providing equal AI education opportunities to local students.
Lee Junghyun, Director of Digital Education Policy at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, stated, "We will continue to actively support efforts to enhance students' digital literacy and expand AI education opportunities in schools."
Oh Taeseong, Executive Vice President and Head of KT's ESG Management Promotion Office, said, "Through collaboration with the Office of Education, we will continue to expand various AI education initiatives in schools and take the lead in building a digitally inclusive society."
