With a total project cost of 23 billion KRW, the city demonstrated high-output, wired-linked, and ultra-compact vehicle wireless charging technologies, proving their commercial viability and establishing an official certification system through more than 60 performance and safety verifications.

In addition, through collaboration with central government ministries and related organizations, Gyeongsan City led regulatory innovation and system improvements, including introducing, for the first time in Korea, a regulatory exemption for installing electric vehicle wireless charging facilities at gas stations.

Mayor Cho Hyunil stated, "This award is external recognition of Gyeongsan City's leadership in next-generation electric vehicle wireless charging demonstrations and institutional innovation," adding, "We will continue to accelerate the commercialization of new technologies and the innovation of the industrial ecosystem based on the regulatory free zone, so that Gyeongsan can grow into a leading city in Korea's future mobility industry."
