Strengthening Security for Insurance Agency IT Systems
Building an Integrated Solution with AI Connectivity
Data security specialist Innotium, security consulting firm SecureOne, and insurance agency (GA) IT specialist Genexon have joined forces to launch a joint project aimed at raising the level of personal information protection in the insurance agency industry.
The three companies recently signed a "Joint Business Agreement for One-Stop Personal Information Protection Service for Insurance GAs" and announced on November 8 that they will promote integrated services to enhance personal information protection and strengthen IT system security for insurance GAs. This agreement is a response to a series of recent external hacking attacks that have resulted in the leakage of insurance GA account information and customer personal data.
Innotium will provide 11 integrated features through its unified data security platform, "Inno Smart Platform v11," including automatic detection and access control of personal information, document centralization, integrated DRM (encryption) and DLP (leak prevention) functions, watermarking, data security backup, and ransomware detection and blocking. Since all features are operated within a single system, the platform offers lower implementation costs, reduced manpower requirements, and easy integration with AI.
It also supports a cloud-based smart work environment, enabling users to work securely without restrictions on location or device. Another key feature is its "Lego-style modular structure," which allows companies to freely configure necessary functions according to their size and security requirements.
SecureOne will establish a sustainable security management system through real-time threat detection and blocking, security vulnerability analysis, and the construction of multi-layered security systems. The company plans to proactively assess security risks across the entire GA IT environment and provide customized security consulting and continuous monitoring systems.
Genexon operates a GA integrated service platform used by approximately 60 insurance GAs and over 100,000 agents. Through this agreement, Genexon will incorporate Innotium and SecureOne’s technologies into its platform to build a cloud-based integrated security environment and significantly enhance the level of personal information protection.
Lee Hyungtaek, CEO of Innotium; Ryu Hyungseok, CEO of SecureOne; and Shin Hyunsik, CEO of Genexon, stated, "Genexon's insurance GA IT system is a core platform simultaneously used by numerous agents and customers, so the level of personal information protection is directly linked to service trust. Through this agreement, by combining Innotium and SecureOne’s security technologies and operational expertise, we aim to elevate the security competitiveness of the GA industry to the next level."
