According to the county on November 7, this training is jointly organized by the Jeonbuk Youth Hub Center and the Jinan County Youth Center. Any young person from the Jinan, Muju, or Jangsu regions is eligible to participate.

The "Youth Participation Budget System" is a program that enables young people to directly propose local policies or suggest projects to be reflected in the budget. The on-the-go program is designed to expand youth participation in policymaking and to enhance understanding of the Youth Participation Budget System by conducting sessions in different regions.

This budget school is structured as a participatory program to help young people directly propose solutions to local issues and policy ideas in connection with the budget.

The training will cover the basic concepts of the Youth Participation Budget System and include practical exercises in policy proposal. Choi Seungwoo, Senior Researcher at the Korea Institute of Public Finance, will serve as an instructor, providing guidance on citizen participation budget case studies and how to write policy proposals. In addition, there will be hands-on practice using ChatGPT for policy proposal drafting.

Through this training, young people from the Jinan, Muju, and Jangsu regions are expected to communicate and exchange ideas with one another, which will have a positive impact on strengthening youth policy capabilities and revitalizing the local community.

Kim Hyundo, Head of the Jinan County Youth Center, stated, "I hope that through this Youth Participation Budget School, young people will grow into leaders of change in their communities," adding, "We will continue our efforts to ensure that the Jinan County Youth Center becomes a platform that amplifies the voices of young people in policymaking."
