Jejudang Tourism Complex 'Greenscape' Surpasses 1 Million Cumulative Visitors

Emerging as a Leading Tourist Destination in Jeju
Presenting a New Model for Regional Co-Prosperity in Tourism

Jejudang, a subsidiary of Daedong, announced on the 6th that its future agriculture-themed tourism complex 'Greenscape,' which is being developed near Saebyeol Oreum in Aewol-eup, Jeju City and spans 210,000 pyeong, has surpassed a cumulative total of 1 million visitors.

'Greenscape' reached the milestone of 1 million visitors in just about a year and a half since opening, expanding its diverse content around two main attractions: 'Arte Kids Park,' a media art-based kids cafe that opened in April and May 2024, and 'Jejudang Bakery Cafe,' which features a concept of directly growing and supplying ingredients from its own smart farm. Jejudang evaluated that this new model, which integrates agriculture, tourism, and art, has quickly taken root and is establishing itself as a leading tourist destination in Jeju.

Jejudang cited several factors behind this achievement: architectural structures that capture the essence of Jeju’s natural beauty; indoor experience spaces and content that can be enjoyed regardless of the weather; the Great Field, where visitors can appreciate Jeju’s native silver grass; walking trails connecting Saebyeol Oreum and Idal Oreum; and the activation of experience-based tourism content.

This year, 'Greenscape' utilized its vast 210,000-pyeong site to host pop-up stores featuring famous brands, exhibitions by Jeju artists, and cultural events, with 'Jejudang Bakery Cafe'-renowned for its crop-themed baked goods, smart farm crop restaurant menu, and beautiful architecture-at the center of its popularity. In particular, the 'Greenscape Market,' which began in May and sells products from local small business owners, handicraft artists, and sixth industry companies, is growing into a collaborative platform that connects Jeju brands with tourists.

Jejudang plans to strengthen the operation of the 'Greenscape Market' in 2026 and establish itself as a regional co-prosperity company by developing and launching new products utilizing Jeju’s local specialties. For 'Greenscape Market,' the company will increase the average length of tourist stays by securing more than 30 local sellers as permanent tenants and establishing a biweekly operating system, aiming to grow it into Jeju’s representative outdoor market. In addition, Jejudang will develop food products using green bio crops from its parent company Daedong and Jeju specialties, and promote commercialization to boost sales.

Lim Yehwan, Head of Business Division at Jejudang, stated, "Greenscape is evolving beyond a simple tourist destination into a complex cultural space where future agriculture, culture, and art coexist. We aim to build a sustainable tourism model based on Jeju’s natural environment and local resources, targeting 1 million annual visitors, and to establish ourselves as a company that grows together with Jeju."
