Muan County in South Jeolla Province announced on November 5 that it held a "Local Culture Exploration and Corporate Field Trip Program for International Students" for 30 international students currently enrolled at local universities.

This program, launched for the first time this year, was designed to help international students experience the region's history and culture and gain an understanding of Muan's industrial structure.

Participants toured major tourist attractions and cultural heritage sites such as Hwangto Mudflat Land, Military Theme Park, Sigyeongjeong Pavilion, and the birthplace of Buddhist monk Choui, experiencing the region's unique identity. In particular, at the birthplace of Choui, a traditional Korean tea ceremony was held, allowing the students to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Korean traditional culture.

They also visited four local companies located in the Cheonggye and Illo Agro-Industrial Complexes, where they observed the industrial sites firsthand and gained insight into Muan's key industries and employment conditions.

Kim San, Mayor of Muan County, stated, "This program was designed to help international students deepen their understanding of the region and encourage them to settle here," adding, "We will continue to promote various exchange programs so that international students can naturally become members of the local community and grow together with Muan."
