Daejeon Technopark received positive feedback by operating a practical training session on performance evaluation for regional industrial development projects, along with a one-stop consultation booth to prevent data entry errors in performance reporting.

On November 5, Daejeon Technopark held a group training session in the Grand Ballroom of Onoma Hotel in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, aimed at enhancing the accuracy of performance evaluations and reducing the administrative burden on companies.

The regional industrial development project is the only performance database that continues to track and manage companies' growth indicators-such as sales, employment, patents, and academic papers-for five years after government support ends for R&D projects, and for two years for non-R&D projects. This data is then reflected in policy design and budget allocation.

This performance evaluation is not a simple report; it is a core step in the entire process where government support leads to tangible results, and those results are subsequently reflected in policy. It is an important procedure that quantitatively demonstrates companies' technological innovation achievements.

This group training was attended by over 130 companies and stakeholders subject to performance evaluation, and focused on practical training for the items that companies find most challenging during the reporting process.

The training covered practical topics such as ▲ methods for entering data by performance indicator ▲ analysis of error and incorrect entry cases ▲ standards for reporting commercialization sales and employment outcomes ▲ efficient recognition of patent and certification achievements.

In particular, the session provided detailed, case-based guidance on interpreting the most challenging indicators and preventing common data entry mistakes, enabling companies to significantly reduce reporting time and repetitive errors.

On site, a consultation booth was also set up to address companies' difficulties across a wide range of areas, including technology, patents, certifications, management, and legal issues. Based on the results of these consultations, Daejeon Technopark plans to provide follow-up consulting to companies as needed.

Kim Wooyeon, President of Daejeon Technopark, stated, "Performance evaluation is not just a simple report, but a very important process in which companies' achievements are reflected in policy and budget decisions. We will strengthen the management system for performance evaluation so that corporate achievements are accurately reflected, leading to greater support and contributing to the establishment of regional industrial policies."
