Creating Synergy in Promising Future Business Fields
Hoban Construction has begun strengthening its smart infrastructure competitiveness, focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) and information and communication technology (ICT).
On the 6th, Hoban Construction announced that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Soluem, an electronics and ICT specialist company, at the Hoban Park headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul, for the establishment of next-generation smart construction infrastructure. The signing ceremony was attended by Moon Gap, Head of Management Division at Hoban Construction, Yoo Donggyun, Vice President of Soluem, and around 10 other representatives from both companies.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to combine Hoban Construction's capabilities in construction and development with Soluem's advanced ICT and energy technologies to generate synergy and lead the market in promising future business fields such as AI data centers, next-generation energy, and the development of future-oriented residential and commercial spaces.

Hoban Construction will seek new business opportunities in the smart city and smart construction sectors and lead large-scale projects. The company will also maximize collaborative synergy by leveraging the capabilities of Hoban Group affiliates such as Hoban Industry. Soluem plans to supply ICT, Internet of Things (IoT), and energy solution technologies and products, conduct joint marketing with Hoban Group, and create new growth engines for the future.
Moon, Head of Management Division, stated, "This agreement is a meaningful first step toward accelerating digital transformation in the construction sector and establishing new residential infrastructure that combines energy efficiency and smart technology," adding, "We will take the lead in realizing sustainable smart cities through our collaboration with Soluem."
Meanwhile, in September, Hoban Group hosted the '2025 Hoban Innovation Technology Contest' together with the Seoul Business Agency, the Korea Startup Promotion Agency, and Soluem, soliciting innovative technologies in four categories: smart city, accommodation·leisure·distribution, manufacturing, and new businesses. On this day at Hoban Park, the company will hold the contest awards ceremony and the '2025 Hoban Open Innovation Demo Day,' further strengthening its collaborative ecosystem with promising startups.
