Goyang Presents Its Vision as the Capital of Future Technologies, Attracting Global Attention
"RAD KOREA WEEK 2025," Korea's premier future technology convergence exhibition, kicked off in grand style on the 5th at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Donghwan).

The opening ceremony was attended by Lee Donghwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, members of the National Assembly, key officials from the Gyeonggi Provincial Council and Goyang City Council, as well as leading domestic advanced technology companies such as LIG Nex1 and innovative startups.
Through the opening ceremony, Goyang's status and vision as a leading city in advanced industries were introduced both domestically and internationally. In particular, the opening ceremony featuring a humanoid robot drew significant attention from visitors, symbolically showcasing the future image of Goyang as a technology-driven city.
This event is Korea's largest technology convergence expo, with four major exhibitions taking place simultaneously: ▲RoboWorld ▲Drone & Urban Air Mobility Expo ▲Digital Media Tech Show ▲Digital Future Show. Companies and institutions representing future core industries such as drones, UAM, robots, AI, metaverse, and digital media have gathered to present their innovative technologies and products.
In his opening remarks, Lee Donghwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, emphasized, "Goyang is a future growth hub of Korea, equipped with an industrial ecosystem for future technologies, including a demonstration base for drones and UAM. We will leap forward as a future city that attracts global attention, where technological innovation transforms the lives of citizens."

With this event, the city is expected to further strengthen its status as the center of the advanced technology industry ecosystem and as Korea's capital of future technologies.
Meanwhile, "RAD KOREA WEEK 2025" will run until the 8th, featuring a variety of side events such as business consultations, technology seminars, demonstrations, and hands-on programs alongside the industry exhibitions.
