Osan City Selects 10 "Osan Best Restaurants" Chosen by Citizens

On November 5, the city of Osan in Gyeonggi Province announced the ten winners of the “2025 Osan Matjip” (Osan’s Best Restaurants 2025), selected through the citizen participation project “Osan Geujip Gabwat-O?” (Have You Been to That Place in Osan?).

The selected restaurants are: Hyangyeon 177, Yukmirak, Chilgongju Jokbal, Gwangju Gopchang, Jeju Doldamjip, Handon Gojip, Dajeong Meonga, Orihyang, Hanwoo Saenggak, and Ttobagi Dongtaetang.

The chosen establishments underwent a process that included citizen voting and evaluations of taste and hygiene. After accepting applications from restaurants in March, the city conducted three rounds of online voting, with a total of approximately 8,300 citizens participating.

Separately, in September, a comprehensive on-site evaluation was carried out by a panel consisting of six citizen evaluators of various age groups and two consumer food hygiene monitors, who assessed the restaurants for taste, hygiene, and customer service.

Lee Gwonjae, Mayor of Osan, stated, “I believe that these restaurants, chosen directly by citizens, will enrich Osan’s food culture,” adding, “We will continue to foster a vibrant dining scene and create an enjoyable urban atmosphere for our citizens.”
