Yangpyeong County in Gyeonggi Province (Governor Jin Jinseon) held a policy seminar titled "Future Directions and Differentiation Strategies for Creating a Youth-Friendly City" on November 4 at the main conference room of the Yangpyeong County Office as part of the 'Making Attractive Yangpyeong 2023-2030' initiative.

This seminar was organized to discuss practical policy directions for realizing "Attractive Yangpyeong," a city where young people want to stay and can actively participate in shaping their community.


The event was attended by over 100 participants, including Governor Jin Jinseon, members of the Yangpyeong County Council, the Yangpyeong County Policy Advisory Group, the Youth Policy Committee, and various youth organizations.


The first part of the seminar featured welcoming remarks, congratulatory speeches, and a commemorative photo session. In the second part, Professor Son Shin (Asian University, member of the Yangpyeong County Policy Advisory Group) delivered a presentation on "Future Directions and Differentiation Strategies for Creating a Youth-Friendly City," followed by a presentation by Chairman Gil Cheongsun (Regional Agriculture Network Seoul-Gyeonggi-Jeju Cooperative, member of the Yangpyeong County Policy Advisory Group) on "The Future of Agriculture and Rural Communities and Young Farmers."


Governor Jin Jinseon stated, "In order to create 'Attractive Yangpyeong,' a city where young people want to stay and can take the lead in participation, both the administration and the local community must join forces. We will actively incorporate the various opinions presented at today's seminar into our future youth policies."


Meanwhile, Yangpyeong County plans to systematically build a sustainable foundation for youth policies across all areas, including youth employment, housing, education, finance, welfare, culture, and participatory rights, based on the diverse proposals and youth opinions gathered through this seminar. The county is strongly committed to actively pursuing the realization of "Youth-Friendly City Yangpyeong," where young people can settle and grow.
